Professor Bhiksha Raj is an expert in the area of Deep Learning and Speech Recognition and has two decades of experience. He has been named to the 2017 class of IEEE fellows for his “contributions to speech recognition,” according to IEEE. He is the main Instructor of 11-785, Carnegie Mellon University’s Official Deep Learning Course, which is followed by thousand of researchers worldwide.
Professor Bhiksha Raj Holds many patents against his names and has been a leading performer in many International Conferences like Interspeech and his work in the Field of Speech Recognition is followed by most of the leading Artificial Intelligence Labs world wide. He has also been on the Technical Advisory of Amazon and has been the chief architect of one of the most powerful Speech-Recognition System in the world Sphinx-4 speech-recognition system. He has also designed algorithms in the Alexa personal assistant system by Amazon and has also provided expert consulting in world’s best labs like Disney Research, Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories, and many other Fortune 100 Companies.
He has had several contributions in the areas of robust speech recognition, audio analysis, and signal enhancement, and has pioneered the area of privacy-preserving speech processing.
